Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.

We are inviting all tween and teen girls ages 12 and up to join us for an awesome time of inspiration and empowerment.  The I Have A Dream Brown Bag Luncheon is a time of reflection on the price that has been paid, the way that has been paved and road that lies ahead.  Young women will experience spoken word, music, fellowship and learn practical strategies to pursue their dreams.

Guest Speaker:
Brandi Richard
President, National Urban League Young Professionals 

Community activist, entrepreneur, and mom, Brandi Richard is the product of her culture, experiences, heritage and generation. Brandi currently serves as Immediate Past President of the Urban League of Greater Dallas Young Professionals. Within the Urban League, she found the blueprint for community empowerment that she believed could foster change. Previous to Urban League experience her community work included canvassing for Acorn, working with the AmeriCorps Mental Health and Mental Retardation and Reading One-to-One initiatives, serving as Chair of the Young Adult Ministry at Mount Hebron Baptist Church in Garland, TX and serving in various service organizations from Keywanettes to the Sankofa Foundation. www.brandirichard.com

Cheryl W. Robinson is a native of Buffalo, New York, graduating from Medaille College with a Bachelors of Science in Media Communications who truly loves the Lord and acknowledges Him in all ways. Always writing from the heart with a keeping it real candor, her spirited essays and poetry have appeared in several print publications and online venues. She is also a staff writer for the popular gospel magazine, Epitome.
